A series on slow living, seasonal rhythms and everyday beauty

What’s the point of sharing? Why do we dedicate our time into writing, storytelling and showing up on social media?

It’s a question I’ve found myself asking more than often—especially in a world that can feel saturated, fast-paced and fleeting. But every time I sit with that question, the same answer gently returns: I share because life is beautiful! Because even in its quietest, most ordinary rhythms—life is art.

I’ve always been drawn to the way people live—the warmth of their homes, what’s simmering on their stove, the books on their bedside, the rituals that bring meaning into their every day. And I know I’m not alone in that. There’s something deeply human in wanting to understand how others move through the world. It’s a longing we all carry—to witness beauty, to feel connected, to find meaning in the simple. It’s the reason why there are so many of us that strive for the Nancy Meyers aesthetic!

So today, I’m introducing a series—How the Mediterranean Ethos Changed the Way I Live.

Living in Greece has changed me—not just in the obvious ways, but in the quiet, deep-down ones. It’s slowed me, softened me and invited me to live with more awareness, more presence and more purpose. And truthfully, it was motherhood that rooted me more deeply into this way of life. Becoming a mother in this culture—with its reverence for time, rest, faith, family and food—showed me what it means to embrace the moment over the milestone. It taught me that ordinary days are worth honouring. That a meaningful life doesn’t have to be loud or impressive. It can be slow, steady, seasonal and deeply rich.

This series is a visual journal of that transformation. A glimpse into how my Canadian beginnings found new rhythm in Mediterranean soil. From slow breakfasts to quiet mid-afternoon pauses, from simple meals made with seasonal ingredients to walk through olive groves and coastal villages. This is the way of life that has shaped me.

But here’s the truth: You don’t have to live in Greece to live this way. This isn’t about geography—it’s about intention!

It’s about mindset. A choice. A way of saying no to the endless rush and yes to presence, pace and beauty. Don’t be fooled—not everyone lives this way. Even here.

But anyone can choose it. Wherever you are, you can begin to live more slowly.

You can start noticing what anchors you, what nourishes you, what brings rhythm and meaning to your days.

This series will explore:

· The shift to slower, seasonal living

· Simple rituals and traditions that ground life

· Motherhood and its deepening presence

· The beauty of everyday things

· And how the Mediterranean ethos offers a path to living with more soul

This isn’t about perfection or aesthetics. It’s about coming back to what matters. Living with intention and allowing beauty to meet you right where you are.

You can follow along on Instagram, where I’ll be sharing these stories through Reels—but they’ll also live here, on the blog, under the Sunday Stories series and on Substack through The Sunday Notes.

Wherever you choose to read or watch, my hope is the same—that these reflections meet you with gentleness, inspiration and a reminder that you, too, can live slowly—even in a fast world.

Thank you for being here. For caring about the small things. For letting me share this unfolding story with you!
